Yes I went to the magical SMTOWN 2012 and it was INCREDIBLE!!!!! I sat on the right side of the stage directly next to it~. I almost cried when I seen how close I was. I was completely decked out in my SoShi support clothes, literally wearing almost all pink. Even though it was clear I was supporting the pink wave doesn't mean that I wasn't excited to see all groups. I honestly love each and every performer in SM. There was a total of 45 different performances so lets go through what happened, shall we?
The opening act was Shinee. They came out with Lucifer. They were standing in the middle of the stage and slowly they started lifting higher and higher on a platform (while still dancing). Each member was wearing mixed black and white clothing and they looked so good! I had the best view of Key for most of the time, and let me tell you, he is the most charismatic person I have ever seen. He is really good at making the audience feel connected with him. He just would have this look in his eyes and this slight smile on his face that was just OHMYGOSH! It was a remix version of Lucifer so all of a sudden the music would stop for a moment and then start back and they would start dancing. They also did a special choreographed dance towards the end of it. At one point they were jumping and shouting jump, so the crowd was simutaneously jumping.
Shinee continued with a rock version of Amigo. The crowd was shouting AMIGO! along with the chorus and it was awesome. Even for fans who weren't big Shinee fans and have never heard the song before sang along. The best part of the performance was the members headbanging. Taemins headbanging was the best. He was twirling his head like crazy! He kept it going for around 12 seconds, and right after he looked a bit dizzy and had to get his head straight. Actually just watching him made me feel a bit dizzy. Onews hair has grown out so his headbanging was also cool because his hair was flopping all over the place. Shinee then performed Juliette. To shorten this post up a bit I won't go into detail of every performance.
Next up was Super Junior. All the members (minus Siwon) stood at the main part of the stage while intense red lights were glowing behind them. The lights turned to white and the beginning of Superman started. The crowd was singing along with the bam bam bambam bambam part. All the boys looked super good wearing black and white suits, with sparkles on different parts of each suit. Their white shirts underneath were glow in the dark! At the end of the song they were all standing on the rised platform and water started spraying all around them. The water was dancing along with the music. It was a great intro for Suju. The next song they sang was a remix version of Don't Don that had an awesome dance sequence at the beginning. They then had another dance break at the end of the stage that I was on, and Yesung was standing still and gave a quick glance towards my direction!
Next TVXQ came out with The Way You Are for a brief moment. They were wearing purple jackets with black shirts and black pants. Changmins jacket in the back had a big rip in it. I don't know whether it happened when they were performing or beforehand. They then started performing Mirotic from the chorus, and man there moves are so smooth~ Ah Yunho ^^ . Their first set of perfomances was quite short, they had almost three minutes.
Super Junior came out again with Put Your Hands Up and seamlessly blended into Bonamana. The boys looked so cool waving their hands back and forth during put you hands up. Bonamana was a remix version complimented by some heavy metalish guitar playing. You could really tell that the boys felt like they were rockstars during this performance. During the end of the song all the members were running all over the place, to every end of the stage, I don't know how they had the breath to finish the song.
f(x) were the next to perform, finally a girl group. They started with hot summer and were all wearing mixtures of leather and black and white. So far I see a theme with the outfits colors at this concert. Sulli stayed true to her maknae but not really the maknae image and was wearing a puffy tulle tutu skirt, and of course Amber was wearing pants, raise your hand if you want to see Amber in a dress~. I really loved watching their dancing during the chorus. Their performance was just like you would watch on Music Core or any of the broadcasting networks. One of the most noticable things at the concert was that the crowd would go crazy anytime it was Ambers part. Americans love their fellow Americans.
They then had their introductions. During Lunas turn she said daldjfjakljdk; I'm Luna. I think she was supposed to be speaking english but I couldn't understand a word she said. Then Amber called everyone in the audience sexy whooooo~. Amber then asked if anyone else wanted to "try" to speak any english, and said that backstage Sulli was saying she had the best pronunciation. Krystal said they were trying to help her say the word dirty, Sulli tried to say it but it was a complete fail, but it was a cute fail. Victoria really didn't say much beside hi I'm Victoria. After their talk f(x) went on to sing NU ABO, and I have to say Lunas ablibs sounded so pretty.
Surprise solo performance by none other than the beautiful Kim Taeyeon! (Heavenly sounds). Ok I got excited there^^. Taeyeon came out in this awesome black outfit with feathers and tall boots. She was standing on the part of the stage that rose up. She was performing Devils Cry. I was seriously freaking out because I never thought I would ever hear that song performed live. She totally rocked it from those half sing have yellish notes in the song, to her awesome rockerish swaying and head/hair tossing.
Right after that the rest of SNSD came and joined her on stage. Sadly Yuri and Yoona weren't there, why did you have to be busy with you dramas that day T_T. SNSD started performing Run Devil Run, OHMYGOD that song is soooo nostalgic since it was my first kpop song ever! Tears started forming in my eyes and I really thought I was going to start crying my eyes out, but surprisingly I kept it together. All I could think the whole time was wow I'm seeing this group who I have watched countless times and admired for two years right before my eyes. It was really the most amazing moment of my life. There outfits consisted of black shorts paired with black shirts that were covered in thick sequins or some similar type of material.
After Run Devil Run the girls all lined up and the lights went dark and right away I knew they were about to perform Genie. I started screaming OH MY GOD OH MY GOD, I got really excited ^^ I love Genie. Taeyeons magical sowoneul malhaebwa~ started it up and it was awesome! This was the rap version of Genie where Tiffany does her little rap in english. All I can say is DJ PUT IT BACK ON~ They also performed Kissing You, YAY one of their older songs. During this song Hyoyeon and Tiffany came down to my end of the stage and I found a fancam where I could see myself waving my foam heart and lightstick around like crazy. I regret nothing.
Shinee came out again this time their outfits had changed. They were wearing white button shirts over another shirt and light colored skinny jeans. Each of their outfits was slightly different. They performed Shinee World. There was once again more headbanging. They also did their intros, Key spoke in english and said WHATS UP AMERICA! haha so cute. Onew spoke a bunch in korean and Taemin said a couple of other things in korean. I didn't think we were going to have a translator but thankfully we did. After their short talk they started doing these awesome choreographed moves. First Jonghyun and Onew, then Minho and Key, and last Taemin. Ahh watching that part gave me chills. They started performing Love Like Oxygen! Can I just say that I loved Onews hair, it was longer and fluffy and almost crimped looking and I was obsessed with it.
Super Junior and f(x) came out and started to perform Oops. This was one of my favorite performances because there was a special cameo ^^. During Heechuls part all the members turned to face the giant screen on the back of the stage. Heechul appeared on the screen singing his part, just in case some people might be confused and think he was live streaming his part, he wasn't, it wad a pre-recorde video. During his part Super Junior and f(x) stood still while saluting to the screen. Seeing that almost made me cry. I miss Heechul~!
Next was a special stage. Onew and Luna came out to sing a duet. Luna looked really pretty in a little blue florally dress and Onew was handsomely dressed in a blazer and tie. I didn't regonize what song they were singing, but it was One in a Million from high school musical 3. It really was such a beautiful duet, their voices went perfect together. Again I almsot started crying. My favorite part of this performance was when all of a sudden Onew started getting down on one knee like he was proposing, I was just holding face in awe. I'm almost about to cry just thinking about it.
Jessica and Krystal performed California Girls, which I think is the perfect song for them since A.) They are perfoming in Cal. and B.) They are indeed California girls. It was a cute little performance, of course I loved listening to them sing in english. Jessica's dress wass pink and looked like a cupcake, lots of sparkles and items attached. I couldn't tell what Krystal dress was supposed to look, she wore a light blue blazer of her dress. I would have liked to see her without the blazer, it made her look a bit too first ladyish.
Kyuhyun and Changmin probably had the most memorable stage of them all. They performed just the way you are by Bruno Mars. THEY BROUGHT A GIRL ONSTAGE WITH THEM AND SERENATED HER!!!! That should have been me! but thats ok that it wasn't..... Although I have to say that girl did not look like she was having possibly the best day of her life. She barely even smiled. She just sat there stone faced and kept touching her hair. I would have either been smiling so hard my face hurt or crying my eyes out. At the end of the stage they had a group hug. Sigh....
Up next was another one of my favorite performances, Oppa Oppa by Donghae and Eunhyuk of Super Junior. Donghae is seriously the cutest member of SuJu. I LOVE HIS FACE! Oppa Oppa was awesome, as usual they had they bright colored outfits and smooth moves. The entire time, I was waiting for the part where they come down to the end of the stage at the end of the song. Ahhh they were so close! I had a exceptional view of their backsides if you know what I mean ^o^.
Finally EXO came out. I expected them to open the show since they are the rookies but surprisingly they were put in during the middle. They performed History and MAMA. They stayed at the entry of the stage the whole time so I had a hard time seeing them... Still hearing their voices was awesome. They did joint stages where EXO K sang some parts of the songs and the EXO M would start singing some parts in Chinese.
Asdfghjklkfjfa; Oh MY Gah!!!! Up next was TaeTiSeo fjfako;ijr. Too excited. They sang twinkle and I almost died. They wore their glittery outfits, thats the only way I can describe what they were wearing ^^. It was an awesome performance exactly like what you see on music programs except I was there and it was live!
Another special english stage with Amber, Kris and Key. They sang Like a G6, acting all L.A swag and what not. This was another stage where they came near me! I kept trying to get Ambers attention by holding a giant sign with her face on it, but she didn't look my way. I was also expecting to get some more eyes from Key but he also didn't look my way, and Kris was just acting like the Ice Prince that I think he is.
Sorry Sorry was next. All the members were wearing matching white jackets except for Eunhyuk, I don't why, maybe he just wanted to be different. For some reason during this song I thought a couple of their voices sounded a bit shaky and not as quite on point. Super Junior then had they intros, Super cute engrish time~. Leeteuk was awesome, HELLO MY NAME IS (crowd - LEETEUK!!!). Then he spoke mostly in Korean. Next they performed A-Cha~. As they were performing this song they had the water spray thingy surrounding them in a half square.
TVXQ came back again this time to perform Maximum and Keep Your Head Down. Yay KYHD is my favorite TVXQ song besides Before You Go. The boys ( or should I say men ) looked all bad a** in all leather and covered in studs, Oh Yeah. At this point in time they also did their intros and looked super excited and happy to there.
Finally BoA came out for her performances. She did a total 5 songs in a row and her intro. She came out singing Look Who's Talking and also performed Energetic, One Dream ( feat. Kris and Key ), I did it for Love feat. Key and Hurricance Venus. My favorite parts were Energetic, One Dream, and her talk. She was wearing a really cool and sparkly jacket with a white and black tee under it and black pants. When she talked to the audience it was amazing. Her english is absolutely beautiful and she connected with the audience so well and made our time with her seem very personal. One part I thought was funny was when she said she thinks she needs to record a new US album because she feels like she has been singing the same songs for a very long time. Her voice was soooo beautiful during One Dream. Totally amazed by BoA, but who wasn't?
SNSD came back! and with a song I was so happy to hear live, Himnae! Love love love that song! They were wearing their Gee outfits, the ones where they are just wearing a simple white T-shirt with Skinny Jeans. I found their shoes really interesting, they were these little white boot almost cloggish looking things. Haha just something maybe only I would notice ^^. During Himnae Sooyoung and Hyoyeon were down at my end of the stage. I think Hyoyeon was having a little too much fun because she didn't notice she was supposed to move to the left of the stage, so Sooyoung went over and smacked her on her booty, I thought that was cute~. They also performed Gee after that.
I forgot to mentions SNSDs talk which was earlier when they had performed RDR. Of course Jessicas and Tiffanys english was cute and perfect~. SONEs in the audience were holding up signs saying happy birthday Sunny and Yoona, and Sunny noticed and thanked everyone for the happy birthday! After each girl said hello they had the biggest smiles on their faces hearing the fans cheer.
We are getting to the end of the end of the concert so I'm going to wrap up the final performances in the paragraph. Super Junior performed dance on and were wearing all white. This time Eunhyuk actually matched as well. Shinee performed a rocker remix of Ring Ding Dong. During this song Jonhyun wore a tank top, and man he has some sexy biceps. f(x) performed pinocchio, they were wearing tropical designed items for their outfits. Shinee came out again and performed Sherlock. Then SoShi came out and performed The Boys and the girls certainly brought the Honda Center out. Haha I tried to make a joke. They were all wearing different black outfits, that of course lookes similar to the MV outfits. Super Junior came out again and performed Mr. Simple. Their outfits were awesome! Each member wore a jacket and either the back or the front of it had blue lights in them. So cool they all had a different design. Last TVXQ performed rising sun and they were still wearing their studs and leather.
My absolute favorite part of the concert was the end. Even though it was sad because it was ending it was still amazing. They started coming down the stage in random groups of two or three. Kyuhyun came by and touched my hand! and I have to say even from the small 3 second hand grab that I could tell that he had super nice hands. They felt all rugid and manly. Then Shindong came back and gave the tip of my fingers a quick slap. How awesome is that?!! It was fun watching them all interacting with eachother. Chanyeol was standing right in front me! I love that kid, he really is a happy virus.
I had my eyes on SNSD for most of the time. Someone from the crowd threw a pink jacket onto the stage and Tiffany picked it and pointed towards herself mouthing "for me"? Her and Sooyoung then began looking at it. At one point Jessica was doing circles looking at the packed Honda Center, and I can honestly say that I think she was amazed and appreciative of how many people filled the center. At the same time I was waving my pink foam heart around trying to get someones attention. After Jessica looked down she noticed me and waved and gave me a sweet smile. OHMYGOD I died, that moment made my life feel so complete. To this day I still think to myself about that and how lucky I am ^.^
That was my fun times at SMTOWN 2012. I'm sorry I had to condense it so much but I think the post just being this long is tiring enough. Also sorry for taking me so long to write this out.
